What you will do
- Greet and assist patients, maintain organized waiting area, and verify identification and program participation.
- Collect patient fees including copays and deductibles, verify insurance eligibility, and communicate financial status.
- Perform accounting tasks, generate reports, handle third-party reimbursements, and manage admissions/discharges.
- Cover reception desk, answer phones, schedule appointments and intakes, and order supplies.
- Participate in treatment team meetings, outreach activities, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Report issues to Program Director and achieve assigned goals.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year experience as general office clerk with basic math, accounting, and cash handling skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Excellent verbal/written communication, customer service, data entry, and keyboarding skills.
- Ability to work independently under pressure, handle multiple tasks, and use office equipment.
- Knowledge of basic math, accounting, and accounts receivable.
Nice to have
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- Experience in front desk, admissions, billing, and/or collections.
