Location: Hybrid in Raleigh-Durham, NC area office (Monday-Friday in office with one day WFH per week)

What you will do

• Design engaging and interactive language arts items to meet specified educational objectives
• Write and edit user-facing content while collaborating with writers, editors, and illustrators for fun, accurate, age-appropriate material
• Manage projects and collaborate with software engineers, visual designers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality content
• Brainstorm ideas to improve existing language arts content
• Research and review alignment to educational standards, assessments, and textbooks
• Stay current on scholarly and business trends in education

Requirements

• Bachelor's, master's, or PhD in education, English, linguistics, or related field
• English teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience (grades 6–12 a plus)
• Outstanding written and spoken communication skills for diverse age groups
• Strategic and creative problem-solving abilities
• Can-do attitude, openness to ideas, and strong attention to detail
• Ability to quickly learn new guidelines and software

Nice to have

• Experience in curriculum development and instructional design
• Familiarity with HTML, Jira, or spreadsheet formulas
