Salesforce Engineer (Salesforce): Design, build, and maintain Salesforce features for the VA Loan Guaranty Service with an accent on object mapping, Apex callouts, permission sets, and compliance. Focus on implementing hotfixes, validating integrations, monitoring debug logs, and supporting production deployments under federal security constraints.

Location: 100% Remote (US-based), Arlington, Virginia. Must be eligible to obtain VA Public Trust Clearance. Hours: 40 hours/week during core business hours 8am-5pm ET.

Salary: $80,000-$125,000

What you will do

• Develop custom Salesforce applications, components, and integrations using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and API services.
• Collaborate with consultants and stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver solutions.
• Implement business logic, workflows, triggers, and automation.
• Build secure, scalable integrations with external systems adhering to best practices and federal standards.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, release management, and documentation.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for deployed solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree + 5 years, OR Associate’s + 7 years, OR High School + 9 years of Salesforce or relevant software development experience.
• Ability to obtain VA Public Trust Clearance.
• Salesforce Platform Developer I and Salesforce Administrator certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days).

Nice to have

• Current VA Public Trust Clearance.
• Platform Developer II, Advanced Administrator, or Salesforce App Builder certifications.
• Experience supporting federal agencies or in consulting environments.
• Salesforce DevOps/CI/CD experience (Copado, Gearset, Git).
• Familiarity with Salesforce security, compliance, and FedRAMP.
