What you will do

• Operate and maintain diamond turning equipment for low to high-volume production of optical components.
• Perform mechanical inspections using micrometers, optical comparators, and gauges to verify specifications.
• Read complex prints, program lathes, and adjust parameters like feed rate, depth of cut, and spindle speeds.
• Clean, inspect, and measure components for surface quality and form error using interferometers and profilometers.
• Maintain and handle single-point diamond tools, ensuring proper application and compliance with standards.

Requirements

• 7+ years in optics diamond turning or equivalent manufacturing experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Working knowledge of geometry, trigonometry, and basic math.
• CNC lathe experience, G&M code, DiffSys or similar software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Windows; good communication skills.
• Teamwork and ability to interpret complex prints.
