TL;DR

Legal Operations Manager: Build and scale the operational backbone of the legal function for a defense technology company with an accent on legal tech stack implementation and workflow optimization. Focus on designing scalable processes, managing outside counsel and budgets, and driving cross-functional initiatives with Sales, Finance, and HR.

Location: Onsite in Hawthorne, California, United States

Salary: $90,000 - $120,000

What you will do

  • Design and implement scalable legal workflows and cross-functional initiatives with Sales, Finance, HR
  • Select, implement, and manage legal tech stack including CLM, e-billing, matter management
  • Optimize workflows through automation and tooling
  • Liaise between Legal, IT, and Security teams
  • Manage outside counsel relationships, bill reviews, spend controls, and Legal budget forecasting
  • Define legal performance metrics, develop playbooks/templates, and support compliance programs

Requirements

  • 2+ years relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate
  • Strong understanding of legal department workflows
  • Experience with legal technology (CLM, e-billing, matter management)
  • Demonstrated project management and cross-functional initiative skills
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management

Nice to have

  • Experience at high-growth or technology company
  • 2+ years at nationally recognized law firm or in-house
