TL;DR
Capture Strategist (U.S. Army): Identifying and pursuing business opportunities in U.S. Army market through market analysis, capture planning, and RFx development with an accent on strategic messaging, competitive analysis, and proposal narratives. Focus on qualifying opportunities, developing win themes, and aligning product roadmaps with customer priorities.
Full-time onsite out of Washington, D.C. office. Light (<20%) travel required to Los Angeles HQ and/or strategic meetings/events.
Salary Range: $140,000 - $180,000

What you will do
- Conduct market research, monitor opportunities (e.g., Sam.gov), and perform competitive analysis to qualify business opportunities.
- Develop comprehensive capture plans, strategic messaging, and win themes at pipeline-wide and opportunity-specific levels.
- Attend customer meetings, industry days, and conferences.
- Translate customer priorities into engineering needs and participate in product roadmap prioritization.
- Lead U.S. Army proposals, market research, white papers, and RFx content development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
- +5 years’ experience working directly for the U.S. Army (industry or government preferred).
- Strong understanding of U.S. Government procurement, FAR, non-traditional pathways, and full capture lifecycle.
- Significant experience supporting/writing Federal proposals with success in multi-million-dollar awards.
- Ability to obtain Top Secret / SCI clearance.
- Exceptional communication skills, strategic thinking, and risk assessment.
