TL;DR
Capture Strategist (U.S. Air Force): Identifying and pursuing business opportunities through market analysis, strategic planning, and RFx development with an accent on U.S. government procurement processes and capture lifecycle. Focus on qualifying opportunities, developing win themes, and translating customer needs into compelling proposals and product roadmaps.
Location: Work full-time onsite out of Washington D.C. office. Light (<20%) travel required to Los Angeles HQ and/or strategic meetings/events.
Salary Range: $140,000 - $180,000

What you will do
- Conduct market research, monitor opportunities via Sam.gov and subscriptions, and perform competitive analysis to qualify pursuits.
- Develop capture plans, strategic messaging, and win themes at pipeline and opportunity levels.
- Attend customer meetings, industry days, and conferences.
- Translate customer priorities into engineering roadmaps and participate in planning sessions.
- Lead U.S. Air Force proposals, white papers, and RFx content development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
- +5 years working directly for U.S. Air Force via industry or government preferred.
- Strong understanding of U.S. Government procurement, FAR, non-traditional pathways, and full capture lifecycle.
- Experience supporting/writing federal proposals with success in multi-million-dollar awards.
- Ability to obtain Top Secret / SCI clearance.
- Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and risk assessment skills.
