Washington, District of Columbia, United States. Work full-time onsite out of Washington D.C. office. Regular travel required (25–50%) for labs, meetings, demonstrations, and HQ coordination.

Salary Range: $140,000 - $180,000

What you will do

• Monitor opportunities across R&D channels like BAAs, SBIR/STTR, and build a qualified pipeline with DoD labs.
• Develop capture plans, conduct customer research, and align engineering roadmaps to priorities.
• Lead win themes for proposals, white papers, and content, coordinating internal/external contributors.
• Engage customers at Pentagon, labs, and events to build trust, validate concepts, and support demonstrations.
• Partner with Service Growth Leads to expand opportunities and accelerate R&D transitions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. Government acquisition (FAR, non-traditional R&D pathways).
• Experience with Federal R&D proposals and capturing low TRL awards.
• Ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• Build trust with stakeholders, translate needs, and drive execution.
• Exceptional communication, strategic judgment, and attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Existing U.S. security clearance (Secret+).
• Direct experience with DoD labs (DARPA, AFRL, etc.) and pathways like BAAs/OTAs/SBIR.
• Technical fluency in radar, RF, sensing, autonomy, or weapons systems.
• Experience transitioning prototypes to programs of record.
