What you will do
- Lead and scale software development: set technical direction and manage planning, cost, quality, and delivery.
- Build high-performing teams: recruit, coach, and mentor managers and engineers for long-term growth.
- Drive collaboration: align with Product Management and global stakeholders to translate strategy into outcomes.
- Ensure customer impact: turn needs into engineering results with team ownership from problem to delivery.
- Establish processes: comply with regulations while promoting continuous improvement and modern practices.
- Shape Hamburg R&D site: develop organization, embed values, and foster culture of impact and accountability.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
- 5+ years hands-on software development + 5+ years leadership managing managers/engineers in product environment
- Proven leading complex cross-team initiatives aligning tech with business goals
- Understanding of modern software ecosystems, agile (Scrum), cloud, DevOps
- Experience with .NET/C#, JavaScript, Blazor, SQL, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure (parts sufficient)
- Confident leadership: build trust, develop people, inspire through clarity and purpose
