Director of Data & Analytics (Health Tech): Define and drive data strategy including data engineering, analytics, and data science to mature pipelines, deepen insights across business domains, and responsibly apply AI/ML for better member outcomes. Focus on building scalable cloud-native platforms, championing AI/ML innovation with compliance, and leading multidisciplinary teams to embed data-driven decisions.
Location: Remote within USA. Not eligible in Hawaii. US-based team members outside Pacific time zone must work at least six hours between 8 am and 5 pm PT
Salary: Zone 1 $202,600 - $238,400 USD; Zone 2 $202,600 - $238,400 USD; Zone 3 $182,340 - $214,560 USD; Zone 4 $172,210 - $202,640 USD

What you will do
- Define and drive long-term data engineering vision and roadmap for scalable, compliant cloud-native data platform.
- Design and evolve data pipelines for high-quality, secure data sharing across stakeholders.
- Oversee analytics initiatives including operational reporting, predictive analytics, experiment design, and cohort analysis.
- Champion AI/ML initiatives for personalization, care coordination, and automation with focus on safety and compliance.
- Lead multidisciplinary team of data engineers, analysts, and scientists, mentoring and fostering high-performance culture.
- Partner cross-functionally with product, engineering, clinical, business, and operations teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years in data-related roles, 3+ years leading data engineering, analytics, or data science teams
- Proven success building data strategy in health tech or regulated environment
- Deep understanding of modern data architecture, ETL/ELT pipelines, cloud ecosystems (Snowflake, BigQuery, Looker)
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML model development, deployment, monitoring
- Familiarity with healthcare standards (HL7, FHIR, claims, EMR/EHR) and privacy (HIPAA)
- Strong communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical audiences
