Director, People Business Partner (HR): Serve as strategic thought partner to executives and leaders, shaping and executing people strategies that enable engagement, leadership strength, and business impact with an accent on organizational design, performance enablement, talent planning, and leadership development. Focus on using data-driven insights to identify trends, influence decisions, and lead high-impact initiatives balancing near-term priorities with long-term health.
Location: Remote - US only, not eligible in Hawaii. US based team members outside Pacific time zone must work at least six hours between 8 am and 5 pm Pacific time each workday. Candidates in Rocky Mountain or Pacific time zones strongly preferred. Ability to travel and work in office as needed.
Salary: Zone 1 $182,800 - $215,000 USD (San Francisco Bay Area, NYC Metro); Zone 2 $164,520 - $193,500 USD (other CA, Seattle); Zone 3 $164,520 - $193,500 USD (other NY, WA, DC, Austin TX etc.); Zone 4 $146,240 - $172,000 USD (other US locations).

What you will do
- Serve as strategic thought and business partner to senior leaders, translating business goals into integrated people strategies driving organizational health, performance, and scalability.
- Design and execute talent strategies including performance enablement, talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership development.
- Coach leaders to build high-performing inclusive teams, addressing performance issues and elevating leadership aligned with company values.
- Lead organizational design and change efforts, supporting scalable structures through growth and transformation.
- Use data and insights to identify trends, diagnose root causes, and drive improvements in team health, productivity, and employee experience.
- Drive cross-functional people initiatives end-to-end, managing core processes like compensation, performance management, and employee relations.
Requirements
- 12+ years People/HR experience, 4+ years HRBP partnering with executives and leaders; HRBP with Sales, GTM or Engineering preferred.
- 2+ years in People leadership role, ideally in healthcare, tech, high-growth or startup environments.
- Experience with organizational and cultural transformation, strong program management.
- Expertise in data-driven problem solving, building relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Deep empathy, excellent judgment, coaching passion, facilitation and presentation skills.
