Principal Test Engineer (Optical Module)

Principal Test Engineer (Optical Module): Develop production and characterization ATE test programs and hardware for silicon photonics chips with an accent on test methodologies, silicon process, DFT/DFM, and high-speed digital testing. Focus on collaborating with design teams from debug to production, managing test programs at manufacturing sites, and driving test cost reduction and yield improvements.

Location: Santa Clara, CA (onsite). This position may require access to U.S. export-controlled technology; applicants must be eligible (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals).

Salary: $136,880 - $205,000 per annum (USD)

What you will do

• Develop production and characterization ATE test programs and hardware, understanding test requirements, methodologies, and strategies.
• Collaborate with design teams on new products from debug, characterization, to full production.
• Manage production test programs at various manufacturing sites, supporting new product qualification and transfer.
• Identify and drive test cost reduction and yield improvement projects.
• Align test engineering systems and processes across manufacturing sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related + 10+ years experience, or Master’s/PhD + 5+ years.
• Minimum 5+ years in semiconductor test engineering.
• Solid background in ATE testing, test methodology, silicon process, DFT/DFM, and high-speed digital testing.
• Must be eligible to access U.S. export-controlled information.
