hirify.global's A1 is building a proactive AI chat app for everyday users, focusing on high reliability for long-running workflows, persistent context, multi-step reasoning, external tool interactions, and real-world task completion.

What you will do

  • Own application engineering strategy and execution across backend, mobile, and desktop.
  • Lead and grow a small, senior applications team.
  • Set architectural direction for AI-powered workflows, APIs, and client integrations.
  • Integrate AI capabilities with clear abstractions, predictable behavior, and graceful failure modes.
  • Partner with ML leadership to translate models into shippable product features.
  • Establish ownership boundaries, ensure production readiness, and balance speed with quality.

Requirements

  • Significant experience leading application or product engineering for complex systems.
  • Strong hands-on background building and shipping production backend systems.
  • Experience delivering AI-powered products and understanding model integration trade-offs.
  • Excellent system design skills across services, APIs, clients, and data flows.
  • Comfort operating across backend, mobile, and desktop platforms.
  • Proven ability to make high-impact technical decisions under ambiguity, with bias toward shipping and iteration.
  • Low ego, strong judgment, ability to raise technical bar.
