What you will do

• Design, develop, and own backend services and data pipelines processing large volumes of data at scale
• Architect data storage solutions including schema design, query optimization, and data modeling
• Build and maintain APIs, messaging systems, and integration layers connecting data producers and consumers
• Drive technical decisions, evaluate trade-offs, and define system boundaries
• Break down ambiguous requirements into deliverable solutions and resolve production issues
• Improve engineering practices like testing, CI/CD, observability, and documentation

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software development experience
• Mastery of at least one major language (Python, Java, Go, C++, or equivalent) with deep understanding of internals
• Proven system design for distributed, scalable, fault-tolerant systems (event-driven, partitioning, caching)
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines, batch/streaming data, large-scale processing
• Deep relational database knowledge (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and strong SQL including optimization
• Strong data structures, algorithms, design patterns, API design (REST/gRPC), incident response
• Openness to AI coding agents and LLM tools in workflow

• Python mastery with frameworks (FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, pytest, mypy)
• Observability (OpenTelemetry, Grafana, ELK), DevOps (Docker, CI/CD, Terraform)
