TL;DR
Senior Software Engineer (Fintech): Building and scaling the Q2 Code agentic development platform with an accent on Python-based backend services, AWS infrastructure, and autonomous agent workflows. What you will do
- Design and implement features for the Q2 Code agentic platform using Python, SQL, and AWS services.
- Decompose product requirements into shippable milestones and deliver iteratively.
- Build monitoring dashboards and observability tooling for agentic workflows and deployment pipelines.
- Resolve complex production issues using tracing, metrics, and debugging tools.
- Lead design discussions focused on performance, security, and cloud-native architecture.
- Mentor junior developers and establish best practices through code reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 5+ years of experience.
- Deep proficiency in Python and advanced SQL skills.
- Strong experience with AWS core services and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
- Fluent written and oral communication in English.
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship).
- Experience with service-oriented architecture and Agile development.
Nice to have
- Experience with AI agents, LLM-driven workflows, or autonomous systems.
- Agentic UX design skills (chatbots, conversational interfaces).
- Web development experience with Vue, Angular, or React.
- Background in developer tools, SDKs, or platform engineering.
