What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain batch and streaming pipelines using Lakeflow, Delta Lake, and orchestration tools.
• Implement medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold) for trustworthy, performant datasets.
• Develop transformations in PySpark and Spark SQL, standardizing reusable patterns.
• Ensure data quality, observability, and reliability via validation, monitoring, alerting, and runbooks.
• Manage governed access, documentation, and lineage with Unity Catalog.
• Translate business requirements into scalable datasets for BI, analytics, and AI.
• Contribute to best practices including code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and cost-efficient cloud usage.
• Collaborate with platform, analytics, and domain teams to deliver end-to-end data products.

Requirements

• 3–6 years in data engineering or equivalent, delivering production-grade cloud pipelines
• Strong Python and SQL skills with hands-on Apache Spark on Databricks
• Experience in major cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP) including storage and security
• Familiarity with lakehouse principles, Delta Lake, and incremental processing
• Knowledge of data governance: catalogs, permissions, lineage, data contracts (Unity Catalog plus)
• Experience with ingestion patterns (files, APIs, databases) balancing reliability, performance, cost
• Clear communication and collaboration with engineers, analysts, stakeholders
