Databricks Data Engineer (Databricks)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; candidates must be based in the Netherlands. Professional-level Dutch is required.

What you will do

• Build and maintain data-intensive systems and scalable data platforms on Databricks.
• Design, implement, deploy, monitor, and improve production data pipelines.
• Support secure, reliable, scalable, and maintainable solutions throughout their lifecycle.
• Work as a consultant with clients from the second month onward.
• Take ownership of production systems during a long-term client engagement.
• Develop expertise in Databricks, cloud technologies, and modern data engineering with support from experienced colleagues.

Requirements

• At least one year of professional experience in software engineering, data engineering, or a related technical field.
• Solid technical foundation with professional coding and scripting experience.
• Understanding of secure, reliable, and maintainable production systems.
• Interest in Databricks, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and modern cloud platforms.
• Eagerness to deepen knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP and work with open-source technologies.
• Professional-level Dutch and residence in the Netherlands are required.
