Data Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid role based in Delft, Netherlands; developers-only office at Lange Geer 26.

Annual salary: €50,000–€97,000.

What you will do

• Build and deliver a robust, scalable data warehouse from scratch.
• Design, develop, and optimize data ingestion pipelines using APIs, cloud services, and third-party systems.
• Ensure data quality and support data governance across end-to-end pipelines.
• Automate data infrastructure with Terraform and collaborate with the DevOps and Development teams.
• Work with the CTO, data analysts, and engineering colleagues to enable analytics and data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in data or data platform engineering, preferably in high-traffic or fintech environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field.
• Advanced SQL, including window functions, and strong Python experience with Airflow and PySpark.
• Experience with AWS services including Athena, Kinesis, and Lambda; Terraform; and dbt.
• Knowledge of data modeling with star or snowflake schemas and GitLab CI/CD.
• Ownership of end-to-end data pipelines, strong troubleshooting skills, and effective cross-functional collaboration.
