TL;DR
Intern, Human Resources (HR Operations): Support the HR department with file management, document organization, and compliance projects with an accent on digitization, archiving, and record retention. Focus on handling confidential employee records, learning HRIS systems, and contributing to process improvements.
Location: Onsite 5 days per week in Wayne, NJ, US. Not remote or hybrid.
Salary: $21–$23 / hour

What you will do
- Organize, label, and maintain physical and digital employee files per HR guidelines and compliance standards.
- Scan, upload, and index confidential documents into HRIS or document management systems.
- Prepare employee files for secure off-site storage, including packaging and logging.
- Uphold confidentiality and data protection protocols while handling sensitive HR documents.
- Follow workflows, prioritize tasks, meet timelines, and suggest process improvements.
- Collaborate with HR team and external partners on file transition projects.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing undergraduate or graduate degree in Human Resources, Business Admin, or related field.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to handle confidential information.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; willingness to learn document management and HR systems.
- Ability to lift and move boxes up to 25 lbs.
- Strong organizational, time-management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, curious mindset; comfortable working independently and in a team.
