TL;DR

Assistant Manager - Portfolio Office (Finance Data & Analytics): Shaping, prioritising, and framing demand to align with platform strategy, data priorities, and customer outcomes within Front Door operating model. Focus on using AI-enabled tools for root cause analysis, trend identification, and implementing measurable sustainable changes through automation.

Location: Hybrid in Edinburgh or Bristol (at least two days per week or 40% of time in office)

What you will do

  • Use AI-enabled tools and data analysis to identify root causes, surface opportunities, and implement sustainable changes through automation.
  • Act as primary Front Door interface with Labs and delivery teams, assessing incoming requests through strategic lens including priorities, dependencies, and objectives.
  • Lead complex cross-lab requests and facilitate lab surgeries with clear business, data, and strategic context.
  • Review customer satisfaction feedback, identify recurring themes, trends, and areas of concern or opportunity.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently, tailoring messages to different audiences.
  • Collaborate on team activities to develop culture.

Requirements

  • Location: Must spend at least 2 days/week in Edinburgh or Bristol office
  • Experience acting as primary point of contact between teams, influencing priorities and outcomes with stakeholders of varying seniority.
  • Analytical mindset: using data/insights to identify themes/trends/issues and summarise the story.
  • Demand, prioritisation, or portfolio-style experience.
  • Strong written communication.
  • Experience with AI, automation, or continuous improvement; self-starter comfortable in fast-paced environment.
