Salary: $140,000 to $180,000 base + equity + annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Prepare and review financial statements and notes compliant with U.S. GAAP and SEC standards.
• Manage SOX internal controls program, including documentation, compliance monitoring, and reporting to senior management.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies for complex transactions like acquisitions.
• Research new accounting guidance, liaise with auditors, and write technical memorandums.
• Review journal entries, consolidations, and perform financial due diligence for acquisitions.
• Coordinate annual financial statement audits with Big Four firms.

Requirements

• 10-15 years of corporate accounting or audit experience in financial services industry
• Degree in Accounting
• CPA license
• Detailed understanding of GAAP and SEC financial reporting
• Experience with SOX controls (performing, managing, or auditing)
• Experience with financial statement consolidation
• Proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice to have

• Familiarity with NetSuite
• Competence in utilizing AI tools (CoPilot, ChatGPT, etc.)
