TL;DR

Head of Accounting & Treasury (Private Credit): Leading financial strategy, governance, and capital efficiency for private credit funds with an accent on high-level financial strategy and decision-making. Focus on aligning investment objectives with accounting treatment, managing complex transactions, and scaling financial infrastructure.

Location: New York, NY. Must be based in the US and spend at least four full days per week in the office.

Salary: $200,000 - $225,000/year

What you will do

  • Lead the in-house accounting oversight team responsible for private credit funds and carry vehicles.
  • Provide expert guidance on complex transactions, deal structuring, valuation, and fair value accounting.
  • Oversee relationships with third-party fund administrators and internal treasury management activities.
  • Ensure alignment between investment objectives and financial reporting, tax, and investor communications.
  • Develop scalable infrastructure, systems, and processes to support business growth and complexity.
  • Partner with operations to implement a comprehensive liquidity management framework, including FX hedge monitoring and fund-level financing.

Requirements

  • CPA certification is required.
  • 15+ years of progressive accounting experience, with significant expertise in private credit.
  • Deep understanding of fund structures, carry vehicles, and investment accounting methodologies.
  • Experience managing both internal accounting teams and third-party administrators.
  • Ability to travel quarterly to Dallas, Texas.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
