Training Site Technician

Training Site Technician (Autonomous Systems): Support effective delivery, operation, and technical readiness of training programs for hardware, software, autonomous systems, and fleet operations with an accent on systems configuration, troubleshooting, and event support. Location: On-site in San Diego, CA or Virginia Beach, Virginia. Requires “U.S. Person” status (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected asylee/refugee).

What you will do

• Set up, configure, and maintain training hardware, software, simulators, and diagnostic tools to ensure production-standard readiness.
• Provide on-site technical support for instructors and trainees during live, hybrid, and hands-on training events, including AV, connectivity, and LMS tools.
• Troubleshoot issues quickly to minimize disruptions and validate equipment functionality.
• Align training materials, software builds, and hardware with current product baselines, communicating discrepancies.
• Collaborate with engineering, software, and operations teams for knowledge transfer on product updates.
• Handle event logistics, inventory tracking, and post-event reporting on technical performance.

Requirements

• Technical associate or bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Demonstrated hands-on experience supporting advanced technical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for hardware, software, and networked systems.
• Ability to read technical documentation, guides, diagrams, and manuals.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Comfort in dynamic environments with rapid setups and changes. Must have U.S. Person status for export-controlled information.

Nice to have

• Experience in live training, mission operations, simulation labs, or field training support.
• Familiarity with autonomous or maritime systems.
• Prior work with LMS tools, AV equipment, or DoD/defense environments.
