Project Engineer (Networking)

What you will do

• Define project deliverables from sales handover and coordinate with internal teams to meet timescales.
• Engage with clients to gather requirements, agree solutions, review documentation, and present test results.
• Design solutions in presales and project phases, create documentation including BoMs, test specs, and manuals.
• Review configurations, support FAT/SAT testing, troubleshoot issues, and manage handover with training.

Requirements

• Ability to commute to Hayward office and work onsite in Greater Bay Area depots; travel within North America (5-15%)
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking, LAN/VLAN planning.
• Advanced Linux knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with switches, routers, access points, cabling; troubleshooting in networking.
• Good RF environments understanding; strong documentation skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Thorough planning, excellent technical and user-facing communication.

• CCNA certification.
• Mobile data networks knowledge.
• Railway certification requirements.
• Linux Red Hat/Debian certification.
• Bachelor’s in Electrical/Electronic/IT/Computing Engineering.
• IT/Telecom O&M procedures; antenna design.
• Familiarity with railway industrial/maintenance processes.
