TL;DR

Law Clerk II (Legal Services): Assist with all phases of litigation for high-profile federal agency cases, including opioid matters, with an accent on document analysis, eDiscovery, and trial preparation. Focus on reviewing evidence, managing litigation materials, troubleshooting review platforms, and drafting memos for attorneys.

Location: On-site in Washington, DC or Arlington, VA. U.S. Citizenship required.

Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 a year

What you will do

  • Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, including trial preparation and high-profile opioid cases.
  • Review, analyze, organize, index, tag, and summarize documents, transcripts, and files using electronic databases.
  • Conduct database searches, apply redactions to documents and audio files, and troubleshoot review platforms.
  • Draft review memos, litigation documents, and manage review materials.
  • Communicate with case teams and track tasks using ticketing software.

Requirements

  • J.D. degree and active member of the Bar in any U.S. jurisdiction.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • At least two years of experience in litigation support or equivalent legal training.
  • Knowledge of federal/state court systems, legal research procedures, LEXIS, and Westlaw.
  • Excellent written/oral communication and hands-on experience with computer applications, databases, spreadsheets, imaging, ESI tools, and eDiscovery.
  • Experience with civil litigation preferred, especially complex federal cases and jury trials.
