What you will do

• Prepare charts, schedule appointments, conduct intake tasks including medication reconciliation, PCP/specialist verification, and pharmacy info.
• Conduct new member phone calls, complete documentation, and engage members during onboarding.
• Coordinate scheduling, support care management, handle medication requests, lab reminders, prior authorizations, and non-clinical triaging.
• Maintain accurate health information, uphold HIPAA compliance, and utilize EMR tools, portals, phone, faxes.
• Participate in team huddles, process improvements, member outreach, and operational projects.
• Assist RNs with onboarding, follow-up calls, and closing operational gaps using reports and trackers.

Requirements

• National Certification in Medical Assisting
• 5+ years experience in healthcare setting working with clinicians; proficiency from 3-5 years as CMA or similar
• Strong communication skills, empathy, organizational skills for fast-paced environment
• Experience with EHR/platforms, audio/visual tech, patient intake, medical vocabulary
• 2+ years college
• Access to high-speed internet and phone lines
