TL;DR

Global Head of IT (IT Operations): Own the full operational scope of Global IT including endpoint management, software procurement, identity and access administration, vendor management, employee lifecycle, hardware lifecycle, and IT training with an accent on automation, proactive operations, and fleet health. Focus on designing zero-touch provisioning workflows, building monitoring dashboards, applying DevOps principles like configuration-as-code, and leading a team in a remote-first exploration technology company.

Location: Remote-first, open to candidates currently residing anywhere in the United States or Canada. CST or EST time zone preferred. All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States or Canada.

Salary: $150,000 - $180,000 USD base plus equity and benefits including 401k matching.

hirify.global builds AI models for mineral exploration and deploys novel sensors to guide decisions on owned exploration programs, supporting a globally distributed team of ~280 across North America, Zambia, DRC, and field sites.

What you will do

• Own the Global IT roadmap and technical direction for endpoint management, fleet automation, and operations across offices and field sites in 10+ countries.
• Design zero-touch provisioning, automated reimaging for macOS (Jamf) and Windows (Intune), endpoint monitoring, alerting, and fleet health dashboards.
• Drive device lifecycle management, self-service app deployment, and DevOps practices like Terraform for Intune policies and infrastructure automation.
• Manage software procurement lifecycle, annual budget, license optimization, vendor negotiations, and SaaS integrations with Okta (SSO, SCIM).
• Handle Okta and Google Workspace administration, employee onboarding/offboarding automation, and AI tooling rollout.
• Lead IT support staff with mentoring, training programs, helpdesk backup, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, security, finance, legal.

Requirements

• 5+ years in IT engineering, IT management, or similar with hands-on technical depth and operational ownership.
• Strong experience with MDM (Jamf macOS, Microsoft Intune Windows), policy configuration, automated enrollment, compliance, ideally Terraform IaC.
• Experience with IAM (Okta preferred): SSO, SCIM, access workflows, lifecycle automation.
• Managing software procurement, renewals, vendor negotiation, license optimization, budget ownership.
• Hands-on zero-touch provisioning, automated reimaging, self-service workflows, endpoint monitoring at scale in remote environments.
• People management or technical lead experience, strong scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Excellent communication, ownership, prioritization in ambiguous fast-growing remote-first environment.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting global teams across time zones.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace, CrowdStrike, Datadog.
