TL;DR
Implementation Team Lead (Payroll & Benefits): Own and design end-to-end US payroll & benefits implementation delivery processes with an accent on compliance, SLAs, KPIs, and quality standards. Focus on leading high-performing teams, acting as escalation point for complex setups, partnering with Product/Engineering/Compliance, and driving continuous improvement and new service launches.
Location: Remote position; candidates must reside in one of the following US states: CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, MA, MD, MN, NC, NH, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA
Salary: $165,000 - $185,000 per year

What you will do
- Own and design end-to-end US payroll & benefits implementation delivery processes
- Ensure compliance with US payroll regulations including IRS reporting and multi-state taxation
- Define and monitor SLAs, KPIs, and quality standards across operations
- Act as escalation point for complex payroll & benefit scenarios like tax discrepancies and corrections
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and GTM teams to align capabilities and deliver solutions
- Drive continuous improvement, automation, standardization, and launch new value services to US payroll market
Requirements
- Expert knowledge in US payroll (federal, state, multi-state compliance, tax filings, statutory requirements)
- Strong knowledge of US benefits administration (health, retirement, deductions, integrations)
- Proven experience leading customer support or managed services teams in payroll environment
- Hands-on experience with Zendesk (or similar) including reporting and workflow optimization
- Strong understanding of CX KPIs (CSAT, SLAs, FCR, AHT, backlog, resolution time) and driving performance
- Experience in payroll bureau or managed services; operational leadership including workforce planning
