Senior Commercial Counsel

Senior Commercial Counsel (SaaS): Supporting Sales, Partnerships, Procurement, Marketing, and Customer Success with commercial contract negotiation and business-first legal advice with an accent on SaaS agreements, partnerships, data processing, and NDAs. Focus on end-to-end contract lifecycle management, policy development, cross-functional problem resolution, and pragmatic advice on commercial matters.

Location: Remote (US); must be active member of a recognized state bar in the United States

Salary: $184,000 - $230,000 USD (US)

What you will do

• Partner with stakeholders across Sales, Partnerships, Procurement, Marketing, and Customer Success to drive business outcomes.
• Provide legal support on commercial agreements including SaaS, partnerships, data processing, and NDAs.
• Handle end-to-end contract processes: advising, drafting, negotiating, and execution.
• Develop and operate company policies and procedures.
• Resolve issues cross-functionally and escalate as needed to support business development.
• Deliver clear, pragmatic legal advice to non-lawyers on commercial matters.

Requirements

• JD from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school with strong academic credentials
• Active member of a recognized state bar in the United States
• 7+ years of relevant experience in law firm and/or in-house legal department
• Excellent negotiating and drafting skills on financial/commercial transactions
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills in fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated team player comfortable in dynamic, remote-first scaling organization
