TL;DR

Senior Corporate Counsel (Adtech): Managing general commercial, data privacy, and product legal matters for an AI-powered media measurement platform with an accent on revenue, data licensing, and privacy. Focus on drafting complex SaaS contracts, implementing data compliance programs, and optimizing legal operations.

Location: Hybrid (Must be based in New York, NY or Los Angeles, CA)

Salary: $184,000 – $210,000 + Equity

What you will do

  • Analyze and advise on general contractual matters, focusing on revenue, data licensing, and privacy.
  • Draft and negotiate commercial and privacy contracts, including SaaS, partnership, licensing, and DPAs.
  • Manage the data privacy program and provide guidance on product development and data compliance.
  • Lead legal operations, including workflow optimization and the management of Ironclad.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies for contractual, privacy, compliance, and financial areas.
  • Train cross-functional teams (Sales, Pricing) and support corporate governance matters.

Requirements

  • JD from an accredited law school and current membership in good standing of the California or New York bar.
  • 5–10 years of experience spanning law firms and in-house roles, preferably within technology or digital media.
  • Extensive experience in commercial transactions, privacy, data licensing, and product law.
  • Proven track record of negotiating transactions with large media companies, agencies, and publishers.
  • Strong business acumen and exceptional communication skills for managing stakeholders at all levels.
