What you will do

• Drive continuous delivery for a team of storage, distributed systems, and Rust experts.
• Manage development and rollout of storage services hosting millions of customer databases across dozens of regions.
• Partner with peer teams to co-evolve Lakebase services with global infrastructure.
• Lead operational excellence for 24/7 system operations.
• Hire engineers, support career development, and ensure high technical standards through processes and culture.
• Build long-term roadmaps and coordinate cross-team execution.

Requirements

• Experience building and shipping storage systems where correctness and performance are essential.
• BS or higher in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years building and leading engineering teams in related systems.
• Experience with build, release, and deployment tools like Spinnaker, Jenkins, Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Bazel.
• Ability to attract, hire, coach engineers to hirify.global standards.
• Comfort with cross-functional projects and understanding product/customer needs.
