TL;DR

Sr. Account Director, Government (SLED): Manage full-cycle sales for state and local government agencies, prospecting and closing deals through outbound efforts, RFPs, and GPO partnerships with an accent on government procurement processes and compliance. Focus on developing net new opportunities in territories like Illinois, Colorado, and Mississippi, delivering demos, and handing off to account management for growth.

Remote - USA, with some travel to client locations or conferences. Predominantly Illinois, Colorado, Mississippi, and expanding states.

Total OTE Range (Base + Variable) $143,000 - $180,000 USD

What you will do

  • Manage full sales cycle for SLED deals: prospecting, qualifying leads, online demos, and closing.
  • Drive net new opportunities via high-volume outbound (cold calling, self-prospecting), RFPs, and GPO relationships.
  • Acquire new accounts and contribute to onboarding, collaborating with Account Management for growth.
  • Partner with Legal, Product, and Marketing for solution delivery.
  • Maintain clean pipeline and master tools like Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Outreach.

Requirements

  • 5+ years Enterprise Sales Executive experience in SLED.
  • Expertise in outbound prospecting (Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo, Gong, GovSpend).
  • Track record exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
  • Strong government procurement, compliance, and public sector contracts knowledge.
  • Exceptional listening, negotiation, presentation skills.
  • Proactive self-starter, adaptable in fast-paced environment.
