Solutions Engineer (Fintech)

TL;DR

Solutions Engineer (Fintech/SaaS): Help prospects design scalable payout, onboarding, tax, and verification solutions using APIs, SDKs, widgets, and integrations with an accent on technical discovery, architecture, and implementation planning. Focus on delivering demos, building proofs of concept, supporting sales cycles, and ensuring seamless implementations for mid-market and enterprise customers.

Location: Based in Halifax, Montreal, or Toronto office, supporting global customers. Comfortable working with US-based clients, occasional support for Europe and Australia. 30 days remote work from anywhere per year.

Proposed OTE: $135k CAD ($100k base, $35k variable)

What you will do

• Lead technical discovery to understand prospects' architecture, workflows, compliance, and integration needs.
• Design scalable solutions using APIs, SDKs, widgets, webhooks, and integrations; translate business requirements into technical plans.
• Deliver tailored product demos, proofs of concept, and technical validations to accelerate sales decisions.
• Support Customer Success in complex implementations, sandbox testing, and rollout planning.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to share feedback and improve sales enablement materials.

Requirements

• 3+ years in Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Technical Consultant, or similar customer-facing technical role, ideally in SaaS/fintech.
• Strong experience with APIs (REST, webhooks, authentication, JSON), Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, sandbox environments.
• Familiarity with embedded experiences, workflow automation, systems integration, and explaining technical tradeoffs.
• Experience supporting mid-market/enterprise sales cycles and software integrations in production.
• Proficiency building solutions with AI-tooling.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with payment infrastructure, global payouts, tax workflows, verification, or compliance products.
