What you will do
- Own payroll compliance for your jurisdiction, ensuring accurate interpretation and implementation across processes and systems.
- Translate statutory rules and payroll logic into product requirements for Product, Engineering, and Design teams.
- Lead audits, investigations, and incident resolution, establishing scalable frameworks and root cause improvements.
- Design processes, SOPs, controls, and documentation to maintain ongoing compliance and align global policies with local needs.
- Enable teams through training, knowledge sharing, and mentoring to build compliance capabilities.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Legal, and others to embed compliance into decisions and go-to-market initiatives.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in payroll and employment compliance for your country/region, including legislation translation to payroll calculations and systems.
- Proven experience leading audits, regulatory reviews, or compliance programs.
- Track record partnering with technical teams to convert rules into product requirements.
- Strong communication to influence stakeholders across functions and leadership.
- Investigative skills for high-risk scenarios and sound judgment.
- Systems thinking to design scalable frameworks, processes, and documentation.
- Comfortable in async, fully , fast-changing environment.
