Technical Consultant (SharePoint): Executing migration analysis, mapping, and processing tasks for content from ECM systems, file shares, and legacy repositories into Microsoft SharePoint with an accent on metadata transformation, data quality, and validation. Focus on developing scalable migration scripts, resolving content issues, and supporting end-to-end implementations.

Location: Hybrid in Sydney, NSW or Melbourne, VIC, Australia. This role is open to candidates based in Australia only. Australian Citizenship is required.

$120,000 - $160,000 a year

What you will do

• Execute discovery, analysis, and data profiling of source systems like OpenText, Documentum, HP TRIM, file shares to understand structure and metadata.
• Produce migration mapping specifications and develop scripts/tooling (ShareGate, Metalogix, AvePoint) for content transformation and loading at scale.
• Validate migrated content for metadata fidelity, integrity, permissions, and classification.
• Support hirify.global configuration, deployment, customer training, and documentation.
• Collaborate with project teams, gather requirements, communicate progress, and provide technical advisory during client engagements.
• Contribute to solution design, implementation, pre-sales activities, and product feedback.

Requirements

• 3–5 years in technical consulting or implementation with focus on data migration from ECM/EDRMS/file shares to SharePoint.
• Hands-on experience with migration platforms (ShareGate, AvePoint, Metalogix) and source systems (OpenText Content Manager/HP TRIM, Documentum, Meridio).
• Proficiency in PowerShell/Python for migration processing, data transformation, validation.
• Experience in structured project delivery, metadata mapping, content auditing at enterprise scale.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Azure AD, records management, security principles.
• Australian Citizenship required; eligible or hold government security clearances preferred; willing to undergo background/security checks.

Nice to have

• Experience with C#/.NET for custom tooling.
