What you will do

• Define and lead verification and validation strategy for remote assistance system and cloud-based product software
• Lead team in end-to-end verification and validation of safety-critical product software
• Conduct root-cause analysis for complex issues and drive improvements to V&V coverage
• Develop and execute validation strategies for critical safety scenarios in autonomous operation
• Own large-scale validation campaigns to demonstrate safety and performance against top-level requirements
• Influence testing efforts in cross-organizational reviews and mentor high-performing team of systems safety engineers

Requirements

• Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in engineering or science
• At least 10 years in systems engineering, verification and validation, or safety-critical product development
• At least 4 years of direct people management experience leading engineering teams
• Proven experience leading V&V of complex software-intensive systems (e.g., robotics, aerospace, automotive)
• Proven track record designing and executing human factors studies for safety-critical human-machine interfaces

Nice to have

• Experience with public road deployment and safety case for Level 4/5 autonomous vehicles
• Simulation-based testing and large-scale safety data analysis
• Familiarity with V&V plans from STPA, FMEA, ISO 26262, SOTIF (ISO 21448)
• Deep proficiency in Python and SQL for test scripting, data analysis, automation
