What you will do

• Develop and operationalize ML/AI models for load, generation, price, and renewable forecasting.
• Design, evaluate, and analyze electrical systems for electrification, grid integration, and low-carbon technologies.
• Contribute to transmission planning, renewable integration assessments, and production cost modeling.
• Conduct technical due diligence on electrical infrastructure, energy storage, and industrial electrification projects.
• Translate engineering analyses into recommendations for clients, teams, and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with scientists, policy experts, and business teams on deliverables and thought leadership.
• Contribute to publications and stay current on power systems and decarbonization developments.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related quantitative field.
• Expertise in electric power industry, wholesale markets, and grid operations.
• Proficiency in AC/DC power flow and production-cost models (PROMOD, Plexos, AURORA).
• Proficiency in statistical modeling and data analysis (Python, R, MATLAB or equivalent).
• Deep knowledge of energy markets (ISOs/RTOs), capacity markets, and reliability standards.
• Experience deploying ML models in production.
• Strong communication skills for multidisciplinary teams and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Modeling energy storage, EV infrastructure, or industrial decarbonization.
• Familiarity with GHG accounting, energy policy, or carbon markets.
• Consulting or climate organization experience with corporate clients.
• Professional licensure (PE) or advanced credentials.
• Published work in electrification or grid modernization.
• ISO/RTO operations, FERC proceedings, power market design knowledge.
• Natural gas/power market dynamics.
