TL;DR

Director of Strategic Finance (AI/SaaS): Own the full arc of strategic finance including long-range planning, investor storytelling, corporate development, and cross-functional decision support with an accent on rigorous financial modeling and AI-powered workflows. Focus on evaluating business models, structuring partnerships, and providing insights that accelerate company growth and decision-making.

Location: NYC office 5 days a week. Applicants must be eligible to work in the US. Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Compensation Range: $210K - $230K

What you will do

• Own long-range financial plan, annual budget, rolling forecasts, and dynamic models across revenue, expenses, cash flow, and profitability.
• Lead strategy projects like business model evaluation, deal modeling, scenario planning, unit economics analysis, and growth strategy guidance.
• Evaluate and structure strategic partnerships, capital markets activity, investor relations, board reporting, and fundraising.
• Leverage AI tools for financial modeling, research, reporting, and analysis to enhance finance team operations.
• Partner with Product, Marketing, Engineering, and Operations to provide financial insights and accelerate decision-making.
• Serve as strategic advisor to VP of Finance and leadership, contributing to the company's financial foundation and mission.

Requirements

• 10+ years in investment banking, consulting, private equity, or strategic finance at high-growth tech/consumer companies.
• 3+ years in leadership/management, building high-performing teams.
• Deep expertise in financial modeling, FP&A, corporate development; ability to handle strategy and granular analysis.
• Proven use of AI tools in finance workflows with curiosity to innovate.
• Strong understanding of consumer subscription/AI/SaaS business models.
• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills for diverse audiences.
• Bias toward action in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Stripe, RevenueCat, Ramp, ERPs.
• Experience at AI-native company.
• Passion for music/creator economy.
