What you will do

• Serve as primary legal partner to HR on all employment matters, from daily questions to complex situations
• Advise on compliance with federal and state employment laws and flag emerging legal developments
• Manage litigation and pre-litigation including ADA requests, discrimination claims, wage disputes, and covenant enforcement
• Evaluate legal risks and provide practical advice on employment situations
• Draft, review, and negotiate employment agreements and policies
• Partner with outside counsel and manage relationships

Requirements

• At least 6 years of employment law experience (in-house or law firm) with exposure to litigation and pre-litigation
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws
• Experience managing varied caseloads with competing priorities
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex issues to non-lawyers
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as a team player
• J.D. from accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing
