Planning Analyst

What you will do

• Maintain production schedules aligned with customer orders, forecasts, inventory, maintenance, and downtime
• Monitor planning KPIs and recommend adjustments to leadership
• Collaborate with Production, Program Management, and Supply Chain to optimize workflows and resolve conflicts
• Analyze part requirements, manage orders, schedules, reschedules, and expedites using MRP/ERP outputs
• Work with Master Planner and IBP team to update planning parameters in DDMRP/ERP systems
• Prepare reports and action plans for programs, presenting to internal teams and occasionally customers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Industrial Management + 2 years as Production Planning Analyst (or equivalent: Associate’s + 8 years manufacturing or APICS certification)
• Ability to obtain security clearance
• Expertise in production planning, data analytics, and planning systems like MRP/ERP/SAP
• Strong analytical skills for data collection and presentation (run charts, distributions)
• Proficiency with advanced Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
• Understanding of material control systems, master scheduling, requirements planning, inventory control

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace industry and machine shop environment
• APICS certification or coursework
• Experience with SAP, DDMRP, Rapid Response, SQL programming
• Supply chain experience
• Knowledge of Demand Driven Process
• Experience making professional presentations to upper management
• Strong statistical background
