Salary: $107,000 - $134,000 USD base + benefits + equity (United States); $84,000 - $106,000 CAD base + benefits + equity (Canada)

What you will do

• Build, configure, and deploy physical and virtual servers for various applications.
• Perform ongoing maintenance, upgrades, health checks, OS/security patching on servers.
• Develop and run automation scripts using Ansible and Terraform for administrative tasks.
• Diagnose and resolve system issues, monitor tickets, and respond within SLAs.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, processes, and procedures.
• Travel to data center locations to support operations.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience with virtual machine-based solutions.
• 3+ years experience building container-based solutions.
• 3+ years hands-on Linux administration (RHEL, Ubuntu, Rocky), including enterprise server hardware and OS.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively on a high-performing team.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in documentation.
• Ability to think creatively and implement innovative solutions timely.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with security and compliance best practices.
• Experience with Proxmox or similar open-source VM and container environments.
• Working knowledge of open-source databases installation and administration.
• Networking experience (load balancing, firewalls, DNS).
• Python and Bash scripting.
• Experience with Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity processes.
• Linux certification, CompTIA A+, or equivalent.
• Experience with programming languages.
