Data Center Technician

Salary: $70,000 – $95,000 per year

What you will do

• Perform hardware installation, configuration, and testing of data center equipment.
• Run fiber optic and copper cabling to support infrastructure growth.
• Conduct server and Layer 2 network configuration.
• Troubleshoot hardware and connectivity issues in a production environment.
• Maintain cable documentation and management standards.
• Assist with inventory management and participate in data center build-outs.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience supporting production data centers.
• Must be able to work on-site in Hillsboro, OR.
• Hands-on experience with fiber optic cabling and power distribution units.
• Familiarity with Linux and network operating systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Proficiency with command line interfaces.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting large-scale production data centers.
• Knowledge of routing systems like Cisco, Linux, or Arista.
• Industry certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA+.
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Bash, Python, or GoLang.
