TL;DR

Solar Technician (Engineering): Maintaining, servicing, and repairing solar PV systems and associated equipment with an accent on troubleshooting and ensuring safe, effective, and efficient operation. Focus on performing corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance on all PV Solar equipment.

Location: Must be based near one of our offices in San Francisco, San Diego, Scottsdale, Houston, Denver, & Princeton or site-based employees collaborate in-person daily to keep our locations operating safely and efficiently.

Salary: $54,000 - $107,000 USD

What you will do

• Assist in performing maintenance on solar PV systems.
• Perform corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance and operations.
• Execute routine electrical troubleshooting and repair.
• Prepare and implement switching and clearance orders.
• Operate all electrical and mechanical PV Solar power plant systems.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is required or willing to obtain GED within first 6 months of employment.
• 4+ years of PV solar experience is required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of electrical or mechanical fundamentals.
• Understanding of general workplace safety and the ability to follow safety standards.
• Will drive company vehicle; must have a valid state driver’s license and good driving record.
• Clearway will not sponsor nonimmigrant visas for this position (H-1B, TN, E-3, etc.).

Nice to have

• 2-year technical degree or equivalent Journeyman certification/qualifications is preferred
