TL;DR

Field Service Technician (UPS/Power Systems): Perform scheduled and remedial service on small to medium UPS, PDU, and battery systems for edge market customers including retail, financial, and municipal sectors with an accent on on-site troubleshooting, maintenance, and customer support. Focus on achieving first-time fixes, implementing safety protocols, and completing administrative tasks efficiently under supervision.

Location: Spokane, WA or Seattle, WA, United States. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship provided for visas.

What you will do

  • Perform scheduled maintenance and break-fix services on UPS, PDU, and battery systems (2-120KVA).
  • Provide on-site and phone assistance to customers, communicating with technical support as needed.
  • Implement field change notices, safety bulletins, and service tips.
  • Complete administrative tasks including time cards, expense reports, and service documentation.
  • Maintain inventory, company property, and ensure customer satisfaction through timely response and first-time fixes.
  • Operate safely, adhering to PPE requirements and the 14-hour work rule.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Vocational School; ASEET/AMEET preferred.
  • 0-2 years relevant industry experience or 2-4 years military technical experience.
  • Valid driver’s license; able to pass drug test, background check, and motor vehicle records check.
  • Familiarity with electrical/electronic test equipment and basic site evaluations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to follow technical documentation.
  • Strong communication, time management, and collaborative skills.
