TL;DR
HR and Operations Generalist: Managing the employee experience and ensuring seamless operations, compliance, and support for a high-performance culture with an accent on onboarding, offboarding, and employee support. Focus on process optimization, maintaining company policies, and acting as the first point of contact for employee inquiries.
Location: Hybrid (Palo Alto, CA). This position may require you to be onsite in our Headquarters at least one day per week.
Salary: $115,000 - $145,000 a year

What you will do
- Own the end-to-end onboarding and offboarding experience for new hires in the US and international team members (EOR).
- Maintain and update the Employee Handbook and company policies, keeping a pulse on labor laws and compliance tracking.
- Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits, payroll, and general company policies.
- Partner with managers to navigate employee lifecycle events, including leaves of absence, promotions, and internal transfers.
- Look for ways to automate or improve internal People processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in HR Operations, People Ops, or an HR Generalist role, preferably in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Familiarity with managing international contractors or employees through EOR platforms (e.g., Deel, Remote, or Rippling).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost integrity.
- A high degree of comfort with ambiguity and the ability to pivot quickly when priorities shift.
Nice to have
- Experience with our tech stack (e.g., Notion, Rippling, Slack, G-Suite).
- Deep knowledge of California labor laws.
