TL;DR

Operations Specialist II (Energy): Assisting the Operations Manager and Operations Engineer by assuring the highest level of safety, reliability and environmental standards while optimizing asset production and profitability with an accent on supporting all day-to-day real-time Reporting, Performance, and Monitoring Center (RPMC) activities. Focus on understanding and proactively identifying abnormal operating and alarm conditions and coordinate, document, and implement all necessary remedial actions.

Salary: $82,000 - $95,000 USD

What you will do

• Proactively monitor and evaluate real-time activities, performance, and operational status of hirify.global Utility Operating Assets.
• Manage power plant operations considering different requirements for each plant based on location, generation type, interconnect requirements, regional regulations and customer contractual requirements.
• Coordinate, document, and implement all necessary remedial actions to maximize the availability of the equipment and production/revenue.
• Interpret and execute activities associated with asset contracts including capacity scheduling/reporting, telemetry issues, or remote-control capability impacts.
• Coordinate with the Field Operations teams and external entities for the performance of status notifications or Operating Instructions.
• Support the commissioning of projects by coordinating test energy scheduling and power plant operations activities ensuring safety, regulatory, environmental, and operating compliance.

Requirements

• Ability to coordinate multiple activities and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in operations is required; three to four (3–4) years preferred.
• Able to demonstrate competent technical knowledge of plant and system processes and experience in operating electrical and SCADA systems.
• Ability to work in a high-stress environment where decisions directly impact personnel safety and equipment reliability.
• Ability to work rotating shifts of 12.5 hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must possess a current NERC Reliability Coordinator (RC) certification, or have the ability to obtain certification within six (6) months of start date.
• Clearway will not sponsor non-immigrant visas for this position (H-1B, TN, E-3, etc.).

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree or formal operations apprenticeship training or equivalent preferred.
