Director, Software Development, Geoscience: Accountable for efficient software development processes in the domains of Evo enabled Geophysics, Geostatistics and Geology with an accent on delivering high-quality, high-performing, and reliable solutions on time. Focus on leading software teams, ensuring the development processes are fit for purpose in an ever-changing technological environment, and facilitating collaboration with other cross-functional teams.
Location: Hybrid role, required to be in the office in Toronto, Canada 2 days a week. Flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate work across different time zones.

What you will do
- Take ownership of the delivery and execution of mid- and long-term projects.
- Drive a clear understanding of the vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with industry and domain requirements.
- Oversee development teams, collaborating with Product Managers and Designers to ensure successful outcomes.
- Contribute to the architectural direction of products, incorporating deeper integration with cloud-based capabilities.
- Lead systematic avoidance and removal of technical debt.
- Provide strategic and technical guidance on key decisions related to software product development.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Software Development leadership roles.
- Tertiary level qualification in Software Development or related scientific disciplines.
- Ability to translate and develop functional strategy into actionable plans, setting objectives, and driving short-term to long-term results.
- Proven experience in resolving multifaceted challenges through logical analysis, while owning systems and processes that improve functional effectiveness and policy execution.
- Ability to provide consultation and influence on communication strategy plans and vision across internal teams and senior external stakeholders.
- The ability to support and foster a strong culture of trust, collaboration, and accountability.
