What you will do
- Design and execute high-throughput pooled screening campaigns to interrogate mRNA translation dynamics across diverse contexts.
- Develop and optimize cell-free and in-cell assay systems for quantitative measurement of translation efficiency and kinetics.
- Collaborate with computational and ML teams to define data requirements and validate model predictions.
- Establish next-generation library design strategies using combinatorial and rational approaches.
- Analyze complex biological datasets to distill actionable insights for platform advancement.
- Contribute to the development of automated experimental pipelines to increase throughput and consistency.
Requirements
- MSc with 4+ years of industry or academic experience, or a PhD in molecular biology, bioengineering, synthetic biology, or chemical biology.
- Deep expertise in mRNA biology and translation regulation.
- Experience with next-generation sequencing based assays such as polysome profiling and Ribo-seq.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills for handling large-scale biological datasets.
- Must be based in or authorized to work in Cambridge, MA, USA.
Nice to have
- Experience integrating experimental data with machine learning or computational modeling pipelines.
- Proficiency in Python, R, or other scripting languages for data analysis and visualization.
- Background in generating and screening high-diversity sequence libraries.
- Familiarity with laboratory automation and liquid handling systems.
- Experience with in-situ RNA sequencing and imaging (e.g., STARmap, Ribomap).
