Salary: $111,000.00-$144,000.00

What you will do
- Conceive, design, and execute in vitro and in vivo studies to explore mechanisms underlying inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.
- Identify and validate new drug targets, biomarkers, and pathways relevant to immune-mediated disorders.
- Generate data supporting lead optimization, biomarker discovery, and translational research.
- Generate and interpret complex datasets and present findings internally and externally (meetings, conferences, publications).
- Collaborate cross-functionally with pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, protein engineering, and computational/translational sciences to drive target identification/validation and drug discovery.
- Stay abreast of scientific advances and emerging technologies in immunology and inflammation to foster scientific excellence and innovation.
Requirements
- Location/onsite: Based in South San Francisco, California with frequent onsite presence; must be within commutable distance or able to self-relocate.
- PhD, MS, or BS in Immunology, Cellular and Molecular Biology, or a related field (PhD preferred) with 0-2+ years of industry experience (MS 4+ years; BS 6+ years).
- Strong expertise in immune cell biology (innate and adaptive immunity), cell signaling, and immunological assay development.
- Hands-on experience with biochemical and cellular assay development, tissue culture, multiparametric flow cytometry (e.g., 15+ colors), ELISA/MSD, RNA & protein analysis (e.g., RNA-seq/qPCR, Jess), and CRISPR.
- Experience isolating and culturing primary murine and human cells or patient-derived samples.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with strong problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with disease models of inflammation and/or autoimmunity.
- Prior experience in biotech/pharma drug discovery or translational research.
- Experience with small-molecule and biologics drug discovery.
- Experience with multiomics analyses (genomic, transcriptomic, proteomics, etc.).
