What you will do

• Design, build, and optimize cell-based GPCR assays (e.g., Ca²⁺ flux, cAMP, BRET/FRET) to study receptor function and enable screening.
• Drive GPCR pharmacology and structure-function investigations to map binding and signaling determinants.
• Collaborate with Data Science and Computational teams to apply in silico drug discovery and AI/ML-driven prediction methods.
• Analyze and communicate experimental results through statistics and data visualization for cross-functional decision-making.

Requirements

• PhD in Cell Biology, Pharmacology, Neurobiology, or a closely related discipline.
• Hands-on experimental expertise in GPCR biology and a strong publication record.
• Proficiency in molecular biology (cloning, transfection, mutagenesis) and mammalian cell culture.
• Must be based in San Diego, CA.

Nice to have

• Expertise in sweet and/or bitter taste receptors structure, function, and signaling.
• Experience with receptor binding assays (radioligand or non-radioactive).
• Data analysis skills in R or Python for dose-response fitting and visualization.
